Opening

It’s about time we met...let’s get down to business.
- Quinzoid, Airborne Robots

Picking up immediately from where the previous level left off, Quinzoid’s glowing silhouette is visible. Appearing in a flash and gretting the player, he recounts how his attempts to stop the player with an assassin and bounty both failed. Calling them out for interfering with his plans and experiments, he prepares to attack as his hat charges up. This section features no gameplay and is entirely dialogue focused.

Checkpoint 1

Quinzoid creates walls on each edge of the screen as he prepares to attack. Moving to the top of the screen in a flash, he begins to shoot lasers downwards from his hands. He then slams into the bottom of the screen and attacks from the bottom, and does the same to the right and left. Quickly being replaced by his hat and shooting out bursts of lasers, Quinzoid then shoots lasers left and right from the center. Quinzoid then dashes offscreen upwards to dash left and right three times, before dashing down into the bottom center and creating a wave. He covers the left and right sides in lasers, shooting out a spread of lasers between this, before he moves to the center of the screen and creates a shockwave.

Disappearing and reappearing on the left side of the screen, Quinzoid shoots out flurries of bullets from his hat that move across. He moves to the center and creates a pulse, before repeating the attack from the right and moving off-screen.

Checkpoint 2

Quinzoid’s hat flies into the center of the screen and creates a shockwave. Floating around and sending out lasers, it continues to send out square shockwaves occasionally. It then moves to the bottom of the screen, turning a bright color as all else fades to black - followed by transforming into a giant crawler vehicle anchored by gears to walls on the left and right.

As the screen scrolls up, Quinzoid fires large blasts from a cannon in the center of the vehicle while smaller vertical lasers appear across the screen. The section ends with the vehicle moving out of view and a short break.

===Checkpoint 3===

You think you’re going to get away that easily?? I have a friend I’d like you to meet.
- Quinzoid, Airborne Robots

In a flash, the scene changes to a hallway with walls on the top and bottom of the screen. The screen slowly moves to the right as square pulses appear. Dark Hal dashes onscreen to the center from the left, and quickly moves back out of view. Dark Hal first attacks with pulse-like attacks while shooting out three lasers. This is joined by rapid dashes that cover near half of the screen. After this, Dark Hal dashes horizontally in sets of three, followed by a zigzag set of dashes and then a portal that spews out bullets on the top or bottom half of the screen.

Appearing in the center and spinning around, Dark Hal releases bullet attacks. These are joined by a set of three lasers from their square crystals. They soon fall offscreen, as the next checkpoint begins with a flash.

Checkpoint 4

Do these look familiar? They’re the latest addition to my power arsenal.
- Quinzoid, Airborne Robots

This checkpoint opens with triangle-shaped attacks that cover a vertical area. Quinzoid then reappears in the center, and begins to speak to the player once again. He shows them the remains of Sunrise in a small container, and states how he will use them as a new weapon.

Checkpoint 5

Quinzoid tosses the container upwards, and one by one takes Sunrise’s crystals into his hat. He then summons a glowing blue orb of energy that attacks the player throughout the checkpoint. The orb attacks in this order:

  • Shooting out bullet explosions from the top of the screen.
  • Shooting laser groups from the left.
  • Attacking with semicircle bullets from the bottom.
  • Attacking with wide lasers from the left.
  • Shooting out several laser groups from the center.
  • Dashing up and down the screen
  • Appearing in the center and creating a spinner
  • Dashing left and right across the screen
  • Appearing in the center and creating a shockwave

After the shockwave, Quinzoid reappears in the place of the orb and speaks to the player as wide lasers appear throughout. Warning them that they won’t escape alive, he hits a button to activate the building’s self destruct.

Checkpoint 6

A device with a counter that rapidly counts down appears in the center of the screen. While rotating, it shoots out lasers and the occasional pulse. As it reaches zero, it bounces to the left side of the screen and detonates. A large orb appears on the left side of the screen and begins rolling to the right. As the camera scrolls, debris rains down from the top of the screen and the orb shoots out lasers.

Checkpoint 7

The player narrowly escapes the exploding Powersound building, dashing offscreen as it collapses to the ground. A short bit with text saying the storyline is far from over appears, followed by the level’s special thanks and credits.
