Cameli
- Cameli, Pier Gin Tonic
Cameli the Prism Demon is a boss character created by Umbra. He appears in Umbra’s Gyntening level Pier Gin Tonic, where he fights the player as a test of their endurance and kills Flash for intervening.
Cameli was also planned to be a major character in the now-cancelled Lost Love story, where he would have worked alongside Switchblade. Outside of Lost Love's canon, Umbra also considers him to be an "alternate persona" that can represent him sometimes.[1][2]
Description
Appearance
Cameli is a white square with two square hands and two triangles on his body. He has two circle eyes and one semicircle mouth. On his body are two triangle shapes that are meant to resemble a suit.[3]
After consuming Flash’s heart in Pier Gin Tonic, Cameli enters his "true" demon form. He gains two red horns and white pupils in his eyes. Cameli's mouth also has blood running down its side - however, this is more likely from him eating the heart than his form change.[4]
Personality
Cameli has been shown to speak in only formal tones, though his politeness is overshadowed by his condescending nature. He has no qualms about killing Flash for interrupting his first training session with Hal, and would later let Hal take the blame for killing Flash without ever stepping in. He is also extremely manipulative and calculating, and only takes certain actions if it results in a certain outcome for himself. For example, Switchblade and Sourpuss are only considered his underlings because he saved them both from certain death - and would just as soon kill them if they disobeyed him for a second. Despite his malicious nature, Cameli is seen smiling almost all the time, and has never been seen frowning.[5]
Abilities
Cameli is capable of many different attacks involving different colors:
- Summoning large, square color-changing bullets
- Shooting lasers from his hands that sweep across the screen
Each color is linked to a certain direction:
- Right - Orange
- Left - Purple
- Up - Green
- Down - Blue

Trivia
- Unlike most of the other Gyntening bosses, Cameli is a demon, not a ghost.
- Cameli had a girlfriend named Samsara who died at some point. Details of her death are unknown. [6]
- All demons in the Lost Love storyline are named after flowers. Cameli is named after the Camellia.[5]
- CAMELI is an anagram of MALICE. [5]
- Demons only gain sustenance from consuming vital organs. However, Cameli still enjoys colorful candies that are reminiscent of his own abilities. [5]
- Cameli has a Twitter account run by Umbra. According to a post on it, he likes Chic-fil-a waffle fries.
