Description
A custom storyline based on outer space, teamwork and friendship.

Cosmic is a story-focused level collection made by nukegameplay. The story follows the player and a trio of aliens known as Spacer, Nexus and Halley as they fight their way through evil forces who want to conquer all of the universe for themselves. The collection is currently unfinished, with five out of its twelve levels complete.

Plot

Prologue

Prior to the events of the main story there were 4 different space powers. There was the yellow power which created light and heat, along with asteroids and comets, the purple power which created nebulae, the green power which gives life and turns nebulae into stars, and the red power which was just an evil version of the green power. These four powers are what created the universe that Cosmic takes place in, but all universes have their own dangers. To protect the universe from said dangers, each of the four powers tried to create a hero using random things found throughout outer space.

Quad, who was the creation of the red power, proved to be too evil to be used for the group of heroes, and was sealed away in a protective shell. However, due to the limited amount of power the yellow and purple powers had, the project was deemed unsuccessful. The project was later handed down to a group of UFOs who were given the mission to create the heroes needed to defend the universe using green energy. This project passing was the spark that would soon kick start the events of Cosmic into action.

The birth of the heroes

The group of UFOs that had been given the task of creating the new heroes got to work on creating the first two heroes which were successful. These heroes were revealed to be Nexus, a highly calculated nebula particle and Halley, a "weird robotic comet thingy". However, both of them became aggressive toward the UFOs and escaped into the depths of space. After, this the UFOs finished making the third and final new hero by placing an exoskeleton onto an active star, creating Spacer. Just like Nexus and Halley, Spacer turned aggressive and attacked the robot the UFOs were using to test him, this being the player. Luckily for the player, one of the UFOs, this being Rebel, managed to save them from being destroyed. Spacer was able to escape into outer space, where he eventually met Nexus and Halley.

Search for the heroes

Rebel and the other UFOs organize a search party and go out into the depths of space looking for the rogue heroes, who eventually attack the player before escaping back into deep space. Unable to find them again, the UFOs give up on their search and return to their base. However, the player and Rebel stick around and continue pursuing the heroes. Meanwhile, the alien hero trio come across the shell containing Quad and attempt to free him, completely unaware that the being held inside is pure evil.

Rise of Quad

Now freed thanks to the other heroes, Quad proceeds to possess Spacer and slightly alters his behavior, meanwhile using his body to gain info on the other heroes. This plan is aborted when Nexus questions Spacer about his strange behavior and Quad, realizing his cover is blown, uses his powers to mutate Spacer into Spaxor and forces him to attack his friends. After a long fight, Nexus and Halley manage to use a green energy circle to de-corrupt Spacer, albeit nearly killing him in the process. Quad retreats and Nexus and Halley eventually go to check up on Spacer but not before Nexus unknowingly drops her shield.

Rebel then arrives and apologizes to the player for not believing them before picking up the dropped shield. He then tells the player that he wants to test it out before Quad suddenly appears and possesses him, slowly turning him into Imposter who violently attacks the player and eventually the other heroes, just as Spaxor did before. After another long fight, Quad is forced to eject out of Rebel due to him (Quad) using too much of his powers. The sudden ejection is the final blow to Rebel and the UFO kicks the bucket as Quad ejects out of him, before attacking the player himself.

His attempts at killing the player fail and Quad soon realizes he needs to retreat and does so by opening a portal behind himself and entering it. The alien trio comment on the portal before a strange, unknown entity emerges from it. A preview has been released of a sixth level, Earthquake, featuring a giant possessed Nexus being fought by the other two alien heroes. More info will be added as the story progresses.
