Dubwoofer Substep is a level created by Ol666 and Crazy Train.

This level features the bosses Blaster and King Crazy, who both take turns attacking the player until fighting together in a finale.

Layout

Opening

The level begins with a combination of triangles that shoots out bullets and vertical beams, the later being added farther into the checkpoint.

Checkpoint 1

The vertical beams are kept, however the triangles are replaced by larger beams that create a shockwave when appearing.  Note that the larger beams can strike in all four directions.

Checkpoint 2

The checkpoint starts with the following text after the background goes black: “Did you really think…” “That I would make a normal level?!” Blaster then appears from the top of the screen, and uses a variety of attacks, including shooting beams and bullets from his hands, moving the walls closer together, and throwing the progress bar.  He also often makes shockwaves with his attacks, as well as bullets coming from the sky and from him.  At the end of the attack cycle, the text that says “Thank you for 100 subs!”

Checkpoint 3

This checkpoint is like Checkpoint 1, however the beams that create shockwaves are replaced by circles that rise up and then bounce back down to create a shockwave.  This attack can also happen in all four directions.  Note that the last circle doesn’t go back down and instead continues going up, as well as the fact that when the circle’s create the shockwave, they also create five bullets.

Checkpoint 4

The checkpoint starts with King Crazy being formed.  King Crazy uses the following attack cycle

  • Crazy moves his hands into the top corners and shoots out a lot of beams.
  • Crazy ground pounds, creating a shockwave, and then draws a wall, forcing the player into a smaller area.
  • Crazy moves his hands across the small area, forcing the player to dodge both hands.
  • The walls open up a bit, and a bunch of beams are formed, as well as a bunch of teeth.
  • The walls chomp together, forcing the player to go inside the one decoy.  A set of beams are fired right after.
  • One giant beam is fired in the center, then a wave appears on both walls.
  • To end the checkpoint, King Crazy draws a line at the center of the screen.

Checkpoint 5

This checkpoint has both bosses fighting against you, with Blaster on the left and King Crazy on the right.  Both of them use different attacks, however the hitboxes of the attacks are somewhat similar.  They mostly use attacks from their respective segments.  To end the checkpoint, they each draw half of the screen so the full screen turns black.

Final Checkpoint

This checkpoint is basically a combination of checkpoints one and three.  The two unique attacks from each of those checkpoints alternate every single time the beat hits.  At the end of the level, the following text appears. “Hope you enjoyed! >:D”
