Echo
Echo, also known as The Cat[1], is a character created by Topaz-The-CrossCat. They are themed after Just Shapes and Beats and first appeared in I Said Meow (Project Arrhythmia Remake), a playable remake of the Just Shapes and Beats fan animation they debuted in.
History
In I Said Meow (Project Arrhythmia Remake), Echo appears in a corrupted state and attacks The Player. When Echo corners the player, with projectiles, they break out of the corruption for a moment and move the attacks away from them. In the end of the level, Echo breaks free from the corruption fully.
Appearance
Echo is a circular cat who has two triangle ears. They have four oval whiskers, two circular eyes, a triangle-shaped nose, and circular wave-like markings on their forehead. They also have a soundwave-shaped mouth, which shows four sharp fangs when opened.
Personality
Echo is friendly when they are in normal state, however, when corrupted they behave more aggressively and are fierce.
Abilities
Echo's attack styles are mostly pulse/shockwave based and go alongside their cat theming.
- Diving and scratching with claws
- Throwing yarn balls
- Attacking with cat paws-shaped projectiles
- Shooting out shockwaves and pulses
- Summoning and attacking with gears and sawblades

Trivia
- Echo has three forms: small form, regular form, and big form.[1]
- Echo's inner ears are colored black, and their forehead marking is the same color as the body in I Said Meow.
- This is a reference to the "Close to Me" boss level in Just Shapes and Beats, where the cube's hands are the same color as their body color.[1]
