At the palace, Wiccan has been waiting for the Emissary. The mage has ideations of retribution, and you are caught in the crossfire of his rage. (Thank you chettodust for the thumbnail!) (Level also features SBtorms!)
Goldfinch is a level created by Noodlekin, with some help from SBtorms. It features both Wiccan and Ophelia, the latter who has been revived for a short period of time, and is Expert difficulty.
Layout
Opening
The level starts in a cemetery, near Ophelia tomb, when Wiccan appears. Bullet start flying through the screen while Wiccan talks to the player. At the end of the section, a flashback between Ophelia and Wiccan is shown.
Checkpoint 1
While using the same bullets from the last phase, as well as stars that shoot triangle, Wiccan unhearts Ophelia body, only to find out that she had been killed by Pilate, and not the Emissary as he believed.
Checkpoint 2
Beams start to charge into a lifeless Ophelia, until she's eventually revived as an angel. She then starts attacking using a laser that flies trough the screen, while using spike walls and releasing ovals. She then transforms into an angelic ring and shoots beams from her body. She also uses axes to raise the ground up or to throw them at the player.
Checkpoint 3
Various beams start flying around, leaving behind various projectiles. Ophelia then starts spinning, releasing various shapes in the process. She then trasforms again, and uses various lasers to attack the sides of the screen.
Checkpoint 4
Continuing to attack the player using beams and throwing axes, Ophelia brings the screen up, until using her last force and collapsing.
Checkpoint 5
While little cubes start falling from the sky, Wiccan holds in his hands Ophelia's body.
