Halley
Halley is a grey and yellow robotic triangle character created by nukegameplay. He is one of the main protagonists of the Cosmic storyline. Halley first appears in Power Trip, where he's subtitled as "some weird robot comet thingy".
History
Halley's origin is unknown, but it may be connected to Nexus' as they both are introduced in Power Trip, where he serves as the first boss. Halley returns in Monster, where he scans Spacer and finds out that he is corrupted by Quad. Later on, he is chastised by Nexus for running away instead of helping her de-corrupt Spacer. He finds the green circular outline that he and Nexus use to de-corrupt Spacer, although nearly killing him in the process.
A the beginning of Nautilus, he reassures Nexus that Spacer is still alive before going with her to check up on him. He later appears halfway through the level, pondering where Nexus's shield has gone before suddenly being blasted back by a Quad-controlled Rebel. He then assists his friends in getting back the shield, and comments on the portal that Quad seemingly leaves into following the fight.
Appearance
Halley is grey triangle with a circular yellow eye and a white rectangular pupil. Halley also has a glowing yellow triangle attached to his backside, which is shown to always be rotating even when Halley is not moving and leaves a blur when rotating quickly.
Personality
Halley is seen as the smart but cowardly and funny member of the trio, often times getting into mishaps that usually result in his own injury. Despite his cowardice, he cares for his friends Nexus and Spacer and is willing to fight when he doesn't have any other option to choose from.
Relationships
- Spacer: The two of them are very good friends, although Spacer seems to find Halley's mishaps funny, much to his chagrin.
- Nexus: The two of them are also good friends, although Nexus does show some disappointment towards Halley for being a coward, mainly due to him running away instead of helping her de-corrupt Spacer during monster.
Trivia
- Halley is shown to quote certain memes from time to time, as shown when text above his head saying *thinking intensifies* during Nautilus before disappearing.
- Halley's eye can change colors to be red if a scan fails, as shown in Monster.
