Description
ghost/cyclops bunny thing wants to eat you

Jeer Plynt is a level created for The Peer Gyntening by Flamey. It features Spike as a ghost character to replace Myst, and X as a savior in place of Perry. The level was originally uploaded on the date of the Gyntening underneath Markuris' (one of the Gyntening hosts) account,[2] but was later re-uploaded under Flamey's own account with a new thumbnail and a longer description explaining its reappearance on the Workshop.[1]

Layout

Start

This level is NOT a part of Black Heart.
ight time to die

- Spike, Jeer Plynt

In the Gyntening fashion, the level opens with a disclaimer stating it isn't a part of Black Heart with Spike sitting on top of a Black Heart logo. The level opens with waves on the top and bottom of the screen, as bombs appear from these two edges. The screen scrolls to the right until the player enters Spike's burrow.

Checkpoint 1

greetings
my name's Spike
I see you've probably fell down this burrow or something

- Spike, Jeer Plynt

Spike appears at the left side of the screen, releasing an explosion of bullets. This entire section has minimal gameplay and focuses on Spike's introduction. He explains that he devours anyone who falls into the burrow, and moves to the center to start his attack.

Checkpoint 2

While hexagon pulses appear onscreen throughout the checkpoint, Spike attacks with a giant eye laser from the left and right of the screen. He then moves to the center, sending out three rings while using a rotating set of four lasers. Spike then repeats this pattern, with the lasers coming from the top and bottom instead.

Checkpoint 3

Spike appears at the top of the screen and shoots out a few spreads of bullets, followed by a laser. He then reappears at the bottom and shoots two lasers, dashing around the screen afterwards. Spike returns to the center and attacks with bullets, continuing with a pair of rotating lasers from his ears while the hexagon pulses return and the screen scrolls down.

Checkpoint 4

AWAY FROM IT, BEAST!
- X, Jeer Plynt

X saves the player from Spike, fending him off with lasers. He explains an escape plan of flying out from the burrow, but is eventually interrupted by attacks from Spike. Walls close in, separating the player and X. Spike is repeatedly pummeled by lasers that cause bullet explosions until Spike appears and eats him, tearing his body in half.

Checkpoint 5

Spike chomps down on the left and right sides of the screen, then disappears. A hexagon appears in the center of the leve, shooting out laserse and bullet explosions with a circular wall appearing around it. This entire section features bullets moving vertically across the screen.

Checkpoint 6

Spike shoots lasers from the bottom of the screen in a similar manner to the third checkpoint, and then moves to the center. He then uses his hands to pull in a rotating hexagon, while attacking with lasers from his body. Spike then exits to the bottom of the screen.

Checkpoint 7

Enough of this. Just die already.
- Spike, Jeer Plynt

Spike dashes around the screen’s edges, leaving behind bullets that travel across. After returning to the center, he sends out a couple of bullet explosions before leaving to the bottom as the level’s last gameplay section begins.

Checkpoint 8

This entire section scrolls upwards, with walls on the left and right. Spike appears at the bottom of the screen and attacks with sweeping lasers, followed with a hexagon shockwave. He then moves to the center and attacks with more lasers, followed up with four rotating lasers. For his final attack, Spike grows to a large size and covers up most of the bottom half of the screen.

Checkpoint 9

atleast I only ate one. but i'm not done with you yet. you may have escaped...but I have more plans for you
- Spike, Jeer Plynt

The player escapes Spike's burrow as the sun rises. Spike appears at the bottom of the screen and says some final words of warning to the player before retreating. The level then shows its list of special thanks as it ends.
