Opening

I see you are one of the Nanobot kind like me. Well then, I welcome you to my ”Tiny World”. This place is where the Nanobots like me enjoy living in.
- Lucid, Low

A square - Lucid - appears in the center of the screen and begins sending out lasers slowly. Lucid’s face is then revealed, with her attacking using explosions of large bullets. Lucid eventually transforms into her humanoid-esque form and greets the player. While she does this, bullets rise from the bottom of the screen.

Checkpoint 1

Lucid exits to the top as the screen begins to scroll to the right, with the Nano City buildings appearing in the background. Large nanobots dash across the screen horizontally, while other nanobots appear and spin around their squares in a pulse-like attack. The checkpoint ends with Lucid appearing to attack with a few bullet explosions once again.

Checkpoint 2

The camera scrolls upwards, leaving the cityscape background as planets come into view. The spinning nanobot attack from the previous checkpoint continues, with pairs of vertical lasers appearing. At the end, Lucid dashes up and down the screen four times while a flash of light returns her and the player to an empty background.

Checkpoint 3

It just doesn’t feel the same…I’m sorry, but you can’t refuse the truth and live in your own dream forever. you’ll have to accept the truth eventually.
- Nano, Low

This section starts with more bullets rising from the bottom, as Lucid and the player speak once again. Halfway through, Lucid begins to attack with spirals of bullets. After this, she begins attacking with lasers and bullets.

In this section, the player confronts Lucid on the dream not being right and tells her to move on. Lucid refuses to - revealing that the Nano City had been destroyed long ago. This leads to Lucid beginning to attack the player once again.

Checkpoint 4

LEAVE.
- Lucid, Low

The camera zooms out to show the entire planet the Nano City is on as Lucid appears at the top of the screen. She Attacks with explosions of bullets throughout the checkpoint. Lucid summons two small planets that curve across the screen, following with sweeping lasers on the left and right. She then summons four buildings that fire lasers upwards. Lucid then creates a wall of hexagons that moves downwards, and shoots out spreads of bullets. Lasers and a pair of nanobots appear, before the screen flashes as the next checkpoint begins.

Checkpoint 5

Wave-like walls appear on the top and bottom of the screen, as Lucid appears on the right side. The screen scrolls to the left as Lucid attacks with bullet explosions. Nanobots dash up and down while small planets fly across from the right. Lucid finishes with four quick arrow bullets before once again returning to an empty setting in a flash of light. Attacking with a final set of bullet explosions, Lucid then falls offscreen as the background fades from its dark purple to black.

Trivia

  • Low was originally planned to be a much more lighthearted level, with Lucid showing the player around the Nano City and the song Soda City Funk by Tim Legend. This plan was scrapped due to the song being unverified.
  • A fan-made sequel to Low, Funky World, was created by Instesolence for Topaz-The-CrossCat’s birthday.
