Masked Dedede Remix is a level created by DXL44 based on The Quest to Cure Gavin, an animated series by Julius the Fox. The level features MG and Gavin, both main characters from it, as bosses.
Layout
Opening
The level opens with the text "LOST PORTAL". A portal appears in the center of the screen, sucking in tons of bullets that need to be dodged. It eventually disappears as MG comes through it, going right into the first boss fight.
Checkpoint 1
This is the first part of the fight against MG. There are many lasers here, accompanied by giant spears MG will occasionally summon. Avoid everything thrown at you!
Checkpoint 2
MG will move up to the top of the screen and summon four rotating beams. Bombs will appear from the bottom of the screen, MG will send out some bullets, and spears will speed by as well.
Checkpoint 3
To finish off the fight against him, MG moves upwards as the screen moves up with him. Spears and lasers return, with a spiked wall at the bottom to keep you from staying still the whole time.
Checkpoint 4
A short intermission where the Light Star appears in the center of the screen. The Light Star will send out a lot of slow moving bullets as well as the occasional laser beam, but it is not too big of a threat.
Checkpoint 5
Gavin makes his entrance and uses similar bullet and beam attacks, as well as giant circle rings that he sends out.
Checkpoint 6
This part is the fight against Gavin. He sens out a bunch of missiles and move around the screen, occasionally firing lasers and bullets.
Checkpoint 7
Gavin will move offscreen as the gameplay is taken over with a bomb attack that appears randomly onscreen.
Checkpoint 8
Gavin comes back onscreen, but MG quickly follows. The two battle each other in this section, you’ll need to dodge both their attacks.
Checkpoint 9
The level ends with MG going offscreen as The Light Star charges up and blasts Gavin, seemingly defeating him. The end screen shows the credits and a few shout-outs.
