Nexus
Nexus is one of the main characters of the Cosmic storyline created by nukegameplay. She first appears in Power Trip, where she is described as a "highly calculated nebula particle". Nexus returns in each following level of Cosmic thus far.
History
Nexus makes her debut in Power Trip, where she takes over attacking the player from Halley after he retreats. Nexus later retreats as well before Spacer attacks at the end of the level. After unintentionally freeing Quad with the two others, she reappears in the next level Monster, where she points out Spacer's odd behavior and red eye. After this, she battles against the corrupted Spacer being controlled by Quad.
Nexus then appears at the beginning of Nautilus, where she talks to Halley before the two leave to check on Spacer (who is left unconscious near-death after the events of Monster). She leaves behind her shield, which Rebel picks up after she leaves. When Rebel is also corrupted by Quad shortly afterwards, Nexus and the others return to fight him to get back her shield. They eventually succeed, although Quad's overuse of Rebel's powers results in his death. After Quad disappears into a portal, she discusses it with the others, assuming it to be an interdimensional portal.
Description
Appearance
Nexus is a pink hexagon with two floating trapezoid hands and green facial features. Her face has two eyes (one circular and the other hexagonal) and a semicircle mouth. She also has mechanical parts and weapons that she can manifest out of her body, such as hammers.
Personality
Nexus cares deeply for her friends Spacer and Halley, also has a very strong sense of right and wrong. She is shown to be the bravest of the trio of main characters as she was the one who stepped in to fight Spacer in Monster after he was corrupted by Quad.
Relationships
- Spacer: Nexus and spacer are good friends. Nexus is shown to care a lot about him, as seen during Monster and Nautilus where she tries to free him in the former and comforts him in the latter.
- Halley: Halley and nexus are also good friends, however nexus is shown to have some slight disappointment towards Halley, due to him acting as a coward and wanting to run away rather than help Spacer in Monster.
