Rebel
- Rebel, Nautilus
Rebel is a green UFO side character featured in nukegameplay's Cosmic storyline. He is an ally to the player, up until his possession and death at the hands of Quad during Nautilus.
History
Rebel's backstory is currently unknown, all that’s known is that he and the rest of his kind created Spacer by giving a sun a green exoskeleton. After Spacer attacks the player, Rebel stops him and saves the player, warning them to follow him as Spacer could attack again. More UFOs like Rebel are seen in the background of Power Trip, but Rebel himself didn't reappear until Nautilus where he picks up Nexus's shield after she accidentally leaves it behind. Rebel apologizes to the player for not trusting them, and then tells the player hes going to test out the shield with them before he is suddenly possessed by Quad, being turned into Impostor. As Impostor, Quad went on to attack the player and the three protagonists of Cosmic. However, due to Quad using too much of his powers, Impostor begins to crack and Rebel dies as Quad ejects from his body, shattering to pieces in a flash of light.
Description
Appearance
Rebel is a UFO with a glowing green semicircle for a dome and two black circular eyes. He has a glowing green circle connected to his main body by a grey antenna, and a grey rectangle as a base with three dark grey circles on it.
When possessed by Quad, Rebel gains a more intimidating appearance: His dome is now red and more flat, and the dark circles on his base now shoot lasers. His eyes have also changed to resemble Quad's with one of them turning yellow and both of them becoming slanted squares. The circle on his antenna also turns red to match the rest of his body.
Personality
Rebel is shown to have a naive but friendly personality, as shown when he saves the player from being killed during Battletown. He seems eager to help the player, but is taken by surprise with Quad’s possession.
Relationships
- Spacer: Spacer was created by Rebel and his other friends. Although the two don't seem to interact much, Rebel does comment on Spacer to the player, describing him as a "weird creature" that he doesn't remember why was made.
- Quad: Quad controlled and killed Rebel, however, Rebel doesn't seem to have known Quad before this.
Trivia
- Rebel is the first and currently only character to die in Cosmic.
- Rebel's original design in Battletown had no eyes.
