Spectra
For this character’s debut level, see Spectra (Noodlekin).
Spectra is a boss character created by Noodlekin. She is a heroic antagonist in the Heartstrings storyline, and first appeared in her titular level, Spectra.
History
Spectra has made her first appearance in her level of the same name, Spectra, where she attacks the player out of obligation to help Pilate. There is a remake level which also features her as a main boss character in the level Ordinary. She appears again in Hate where she consumes something she referred to as the "Royal Elixir" and changed herself physically.
However, she had come around to finally listen to Magpie after the events of Hate in the cutscene Break the Cycle. Reluctant and conflicted, she decidedly told Magpie and the Emissary that the Heart has not been functioning properly, and that Wiccan may end up being the one guarding the palace. Wishing them luck, she was left alone to reflect on her actions.
Description
Appearance
Spectra is a yellow-orange hexagon with rounded corners. She has two hexagonal hands, and two antennae with hexagon tips. Her left antennae is bent, while her right one is curved. On the left side of her face, she has a triangle pattern resembling a scar. She wears a blue bow, and has two white wings.
Personality
She appears to be polite and fiercely protective of her friends and holds an appeal of "happiness". [2] She is a mechanic who creates drones to work for her. It can be argued that she has low self esteem, evident by Luna saying that Spectra is "a wreck" in her level after Spectra fought Hal. She does not understand jokes well, and takes her friendships and job as a mechanic very seriously.
In her Royal form, Spectra becomes more brash, unempathetic, and trigger happy. She loses herself in her "hate" through her quest in search for revenge. She is rash, jumps to conclusions, and is dismissive of the "mage" (Magpie) and Pilate's feelings and worries.[3]
