Really!? Another vermin nearby my precious train rails!?
- Steamer, Train Rush

Steamer is a minor antagonist in the Twisted Prophecy storyline by -Seanski2-. He is a hotheaded train conductor who makes his debut in Train Rush. He believes the player to be some sort of small rodent trying to mess with his railroad, leading him to attack it in an attempt to shoo it off.

Description

Appearance

Steamer's main body is made up of three light blue squares. The biggest one contains his face, where he has two black eyes with blue pupils, his mouth, and a mole. His hands are teardrop-shaped and dark blue. Finally, he has a dark blue train conductor's hat.

Abilities

Steamer lacks the ability to summon simple lasers, unlike the majority of people on the planet in which Twisted Prophecy takes place. Instead, he summons rails, a skill he accidentally grew through immense care for his train. Similarly, at first he wasn't able to summon standard bullets, using coal to make up for it- again, being able to summon coal sacks through skill with his train. Unlike with the rails, however, he's partially gained the ability to utilize more conventional bullets. He can also fire cannonballs using his Blunderbuss.

Personality

Steamer is hot-headed and has quite the temper to people "below" himself, but looks up to figures of higher authority and celebrities, as he's rather quiet around them compared to his usual self. He's a bit of a laid-back realist when by himself and not on the job or with friends, though. On rails, he's usually confident in his abilities in addition to his quick-to-anger nature.

Occupation

Steamer works as a train conductor to transport coal from a coal mine on the outskirts of the jungle to the city, also using a small amount of the coal as fuel on the way back. He doesn't own his train as it belongs to the coal company, but he's very caring toward it and treats it like a son.

Trivia

  • Steamer is a slight alcoholic.[1]
  • Steamer's original design had a bowtie. This wasn't intended to be removed, but was simply forgotten.[1]
  • Steamer is heavily inspired by The Conductor from A Hat in Time, even using a song from an A Hat in Time level featuring the Conductor in Train Rush.[1]
