This guide will show how to change a level's audio in Project Arrhythmia. There are some instances when this is useful - you may want to add a few seconds of silence to the end, trim the song to make it shorter, or replace it entirely. Project Arrhythmia's editor doesn't have a built-in means of doing this, but it's still possible to do it without starting over - it is relatively straightforward.

Finding the audio file

To open a level's folder, first, open the level in the editor. Click on "File" in the top bar, and then "Open level folder".

Alternatively, you can right-click on Project Arrhythmia in your Steam library, go to "Manage", and then click "Browse Local Files". After this, go to the Beatmaps folder followed by the Editor folder. Find the folder for your level, and then continue from that point above.

Replacing the file

Depending on your game version , the level's audio will have a different name:

  • For the legacy editor (versions 20.4.4 and earlier), the file will be titled level.ogg.
  • For the updated editor (versions 21.12.3 and newer), the file will be titled audio.ogg.

Before replacing the file, make sure that the level is not open in the editor. Then, simply swap out the audio file with a new one of the same name and format. Reopen the level, and the audio will be replaced.
