Description
This is my first level ever! Also level 1/7 of my Project Arrhythmia "Melodical Escapism" series! Any help and feedback would be much appreciated! :D

Running My Head (Original Mix) is an Advanced difficulty level created by Aratonati. It is his first uploaded level on the Steam Workshop, and the first part of the Melodical Escapism storyline. It centers around a square with an arrow on each corner which acts as the source of multiple attacks.

Layout

Start

A square is seen in the center, and shoots out arrow bullets as it rotates. It is eventually replaced by a moving circle pulse, along with bullets from the right. More circles appear and continue to move around, with there being 3 total onscreen by the first checkpoint.

Checkpoint 1

The pulses now happen at a more steady rate, and large bullets occasionally fall from the top of the screen. A circle barrier closes in on the center, quickly retracting afterwards. Bullets then come from the left and right as the pulses continue around these sides. Lines of rectangles slowly appear on the top and bottom of the screen, before all easing out to the left or right. Explosions of bullets are occasionally released from the sides.

Checkpoint 2

Square bullets fall from the top as the pulses continue. A small circle appears in the center, and releases lasers which are warned by a smaller rectangle appearing. It also sends out semicircle waves.

Checkpoint 3

This section originally begins with a repeat of the second half of Checkpoint 1. The pulses then dissapear, as the square from the beginning of the level reappears. It attacks similarly, but is also accompanied by the semicircle attacks from the second checkpoint.

Checkpoint 4

The square slowly moves to the right as the camera follows it. The scrolling increases in speed as a spiked wall appears on the left - forcing the player to keep up. Additionally, bullets drift across from the right. Walls close in from the top and bottom, and retract to reveal equalizer-like walls as well as the moving pulses from earlier. The square attacks occasionally with a barrage of arrows in a straight line, as the previous attacks continue. The level slowly zooms in as it ends, until only the player is left onscreen.
