Description
Your mission starts from The Quad Field, and your first target - a square sub-element. Hopefully, this one will be easy… and fast.

Sonic Blaster is a Advanced difficulty level created by enchart. It is the second level of The Polygon, and has the player going fighting a sub-keeper square to retrieve the first square sub-element.

Layout

Start

You don’t need to know my name. Now go, first element is Square. The Keeper lives on the Quad Field.
- ???, Sonic Blaster

The level opens with a short animation showing the newly-created player talking to the AI that made them. After it says its name is unnecessary and tells the player their mission, they dash off as the level “loads” and begins.

Checkpoint 1

This square shouldn’t be a real problem. Just stay as long as you can.
- ???, Sonic Blaster

The AI explains the square sub-keeper to the player, as it appears in the center of the screen. The square rotates and sends out square bullet, eventually adding in bullet explosions. As the song picks up, it grows bigger and the screen flashes. The square then floats about the screen, sending out explosions of four bullets constantly. Bullets drift across the screen from left to right, alongside circle pulses appearing as well. The square also will occasionally send out beams of rectangles, which are warned by small arrows that it approaches while moving.

Checkpoint 2

This checkpoint features similar gameplay to the previous, except with changes in the square’s movement. Starting off by slamming into the right side of the screen and creating a wave, it then begins to drift across the screen before hitting the edge opposite to where it started to form three rectangle beams. The square’s movement is warned by three small arrows. The checkpoint ends with the square approaching the center and sending out two shockwaves before disappearing in a flash.

Checkpoint 3

The screen begins to scroll upwards as walls appear on each side. Lasers dash upwards from the bottom, with pulses appearing in groups as well. The square will occasionally dash from left to right rapidly. This checkpoint ends with a square pulse appearing that transforms into an arena.

Checkpoint 4

Take it and move to the next one, we have no time to waste.
- ???, Sonic Blaster

The square border rotates throughout, as lasers and dashing attacks appear that rotate with it. The square also appears in the middle and fires a rotating laser followed by four rectangle beams, alongside pulses occasionally appearing as well. With a flash of light, the walls dissapear as the square returns to the center. Rotating and sending out several bullets, the square sub-keeper gradually forms back into the white square sub-element. As the element moves in place on a mission progress meter, the special thanks for the level appear and fade to black.
